We suggest taking this loop by starting off on Bluff Springs Trail and then connecting to Dutchman's Trail. You will encounter some pools of water along the creek bed, see Miners Needle up close, and take in hundreds of towering Saguaros along this loop.

Dutchman's Trail is named after the mystery and intrigue of the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine which is said to be hidden in the rugged Superstition landscape. To this day, the mine's elusive location continues to captivate treasure hunters and adventures.

Length: 10.2 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,965 ft

While this out and back may be considered a highly challenging route, the first 2 miles is more accessible to the average hiker and you will be rewarded with stunning views.

After ascending the first mile, stop and take in the beauty of Canyon Lake, Weavers Needle and Battleship Mountain. You won't be disappointed!

Length: 5.3 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,092 ft

This hike is most rewarding after rain has recently passed through, or the occasional magical dusting of snow on the Superstitions. When the falls are flowing it truly is an oasis nestled in the desert.

Although a beautiful hike, its name comes from the legend that a group of Mexican miners were ambushed and killed by Apache Indians near the falls.
